Youth Ministries

Lower Providence Youth serves students who are in grades six through twelve. We strive to provide a safe, supportive atmosphere where young people will feel comfortable to be themselves and seek Jesus together. Upcoming Youth Events

Sunday School

Sunday school for junior high takes place during the 9:45 am worship service. Follow the signs from the Atrium to the upstairs hallway where a volunteer will be there to greet you and check your youth in. At 11:00 am we provide extended activities for youth whose parents are attending adult Sunday school.

Youth Group

Youth group for junior and senior high takes place at the church every Sunday night from September through June.

Schedule:

5:30 - 7:15 pm - Junior High Youth Group
6:00 - 7:45 pm - Senior High Youth School

Once a month, the youth group goes off-site. They go see a movie together, play mini golf or laser tag, or go to a trampoline park.

Mission Trips and Retreats

Youth trips and retreats are an important part of our youth ministry program. These trips give our students an opportunity to get away from the stress of life and reconnect with Jesus. In the summer the senior high go on a mission trip and the junior high attend The Great Escape Conference. During the school year senior and junior high attend a weekend retreat.

Family Nights

Christian community is an important part of how we seek Jesus together. To help with this, we provide family nights for families with kids and youth on the first weekend of every month. These nights are typically at someone’s house and include a simple dinner and time together. LCDR Richard W. Minnich, Jr. Scholarship

Presented to a High School graduate and a member of the Lower Providence Presbyterian Church intending to further his or her education, who has demonstrated significant character growth especially by demonstrating an awareness of the needs of others and responsiveness to them. This person should also demonstrate self-reliance and belief in and love for God, family and country. All applications are due in hard copy and must be mailed to Stephanie Sawyer by April 1. If you would like to contribute to the Minnich Scholarship Fund, please send a check made payable to Lower Providence Presbyterian Church, 3050 West Ridge Pike, Eagleville PA 19403 with Minnich Scholarship on the memo line of the check.
